The Management Engineering for Industrial Production – Master degree is aimed at students who desire to hold senior roles in companies of every size and sector, not only in manufacturing, but also services, for the organisation, the management, and also the design of complex processes.
The Master degree aims to form professionals who are able to fill roles requiring high qualification within a company environment, both manufacturing and services, for the organisation, management, and also the design of complex processes in a logistics and production environment.
To achieve this, the programme of study will explore the issues addressed in the pathway and ensure the acquisition of solid skills in the design and management of processes in industrial and service companies.
As part of the Master degree, students are offered the opportunity to acquire skills related to specific roles in the management of companies. In particular, they can explore the themes related to the strategic management of acquisitions, the definition of the architecture of information systems, the internationalisation of business, the management of large projects, the design of inter-company processes for the management of logistics and supply chain.
1 – Digital Consulting
2 – Industrial Sustainability
3 – Health Care System Management
4 – Design and Management of Intelligent Factories
The aim of the pathway is for students to learn about issues related to the consulting approach (applicable in consulting companies) with emphasis on services, models, and business processes.
The teaching is accompanied by numerous case studies presented a testimonials from major national and international consulting firms.
The pathway is composed of three interconnected modules that address:
Career opportunities
This pathway aims to form management engineers who are able to integrate quickly and effectively in companies and/or management consulting firms, organisational and technological, and also in HR departments and ICT within industrial companies.
This pathway deepens the students understanding on the issues of sustainable management of a company, i.e. environment, energy, health and safety. Specifically, the management engineer is able to retrofit their preparation with the knowledge of organisational, technical and regulatory aspects with which every company has to deal with on a daily basis: water management, waste management, air emissions problems, management and optimisation of energy consumption, design of the life cycle of products and services in order to reduce the impacts (mainly environmental, health and safety), organisation and management of the health and safety of workers, industrial processes and the transportation of dangerous goods.
The topics are organised into:
Lessons are accompanied by technical visits to companies within the industry sector, company testimonials, exercises and project activity.
Career opportunities
This pathway aims to form consultants in the areas of the environment and safety, and of management roles in the areas of the environment, health and safety (HSE Manager)
In collaboration with IRCCS San Raffaele this pathway is designed to give students an in-depth knowledge of methods and scientific engineering content in order to form a professionals who are able to perform specific functions in public and private healthcare structures, social health, and companies operating within the health care industry sector (pharmaceuticals, devices, equipment) related with industrial engineering and operations management.
At the end of the pathway the Graduates will:
Career opportunities
This pathway aims to form professional whoa are able to work, primarily, in the operational activities of a hospital (hospitalisation, surgical unit, management of outpatients) and companies in the territory (distribution and governance of the flows of assistance), as well as in pharmaceutical/biotechnology companies, and consulting companies operating within the area of health services.
This pathway has the aim to form Lean managers: management engineers to redesign processes:
A Lean manager is involved in the management and redesign of business processes as a function of the value perceived by the client, applying the techniques and practices of Lean Manufacturing (also known as the Toyota Production System), including the elimination of waste (muda) and continual improvement of quality and efficiency (Kaizen).
The learning mode is highly innovative. To the canonical lessons on Lean Manufacturing there are added the development and simulation of process models up to the experience in the kartfactory or with companies associated with the LIUC-Lean Club.
