The entire LIUC community is presently experiencing this difficult period with a strong sense of responsibility, which I also wish to represent to you with some indication of the possible development of educational activities.
As I write, I am not in a position to inform you of the date of resumption of lessons. However, I am able to inform you that together with the School Directors and the University structures, we have identified different lines of action based on the possible scenarios for re-starting activities.
In this context, distance learning solutions are also provided for, in line with what has already been experienced in the past and with what has been started by some colleagues in this first week of suspension of courses.
On an operational level, having acquired the decisions of the competent Authorities, I shall promptly notify you of the date of resumption of lessons. If it is to be 2nd March, activities shall resume according to standards. If the resumption is extended, the Directors of the Schools shall inform you, via email, on how lessons in the different classes of Degree courses shall be conducted.
On an institutional level, I would like to take the liberty of attaching a document that has particularly impressed me. As my elementary school teacher would have said, “It’s not made from the flour of my sack“. On the other hand, having also in these difficult days re-read Manzoni, I fully share his spirit and wishes.
I look forward to meeting you soon and, in the meantime, send you a warm greeting
Federico Visconti
