Entrepreneurship and competitiveness, to LIUC lecturers from all over Europe
Entrepreneurship and competitiveness, to LIUC lecturers from all over Europe

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness of the LIUC Business School hosted the annual meeting of the European MOC (Micro-economics of Competitiveness) Network, held on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd September 2017, which included some of the most important and influential European University teachers of Strategy and Competitiveness.

Professor Michael E. Porter, luminary of strategy and the founder of the MOC at Harvard Business School’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, was there to spread his knowledge to students, companies, leaders and policy makers from around the world.

The MOC is today an international and exclusive network, of which LIUC is a part thanks to the Center founded by professors Fernando Alberti and Emanuele Pizzurno, current chairmen of the MOC European Chapter, for whom it was the honour of organising this year’s meeting.

During the first morning the “Workshop on European Competitiveness and Economic Development” was held, while in the afternoon all the activities so far carried out by the chairmen were presented to the participants and discussions were held on expectations and intentions to further increase the numerous collaborations already in place among affiliates.

On Friday, 22nd September, the “Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness dynamics in today’s Europe” panel was an exceptional opportunity to discuss entrepreneurship and competitiveness in Europe with present-day professors from different European countries (Austria, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, and Switzerland). It was also the occasion for the inaugural lesson of the new “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” course, inspired by the MOC course, of the Master’s Degree in Business Economics and Management.
