A new challenge for students of the “Innovation and Industrial Design” and “Industrial Design” courses offered by the School of Industrial Engineering at LIUC – Università Cattaneo. The commencement of lessons, Monday 21 February 2022, will be absolutely captivating and of great interest to them.
In the Logitech classroom, Professor Emanuele Pizzurno, both in the Italian and English language editions, will ask students for new ideas to be realized in the form of an innovative product, one that could be used also in markets other than those traditionally served by Logitech.
In detail, the objective will be to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to reuse electronic products that have now reached the end of their life, and create new and different devices, the typical circular economy approach.
Not only, therefore, what to do with a Logitech product that has become obsolete, but also how to reinvent it with a view to regeneration, being aware of the need to reduce the waste of natural resources.
The course is fully part of the sustainability semester launched by the School of Industrial Engineering, a growth pathway in this direction for the students.
The presence of a pioneering company like Logitech, which knows how to connect people around the world, is an exceptional stimulus for future LIUC management engineers.
“Certainly, the most important project of circular economy and innovation oriented towards sustainability in the history of LIUC”, comments Emanuele Pizzurno, professor at the LIUC School of Industrial Engineering, “A partner of great prestige and a significant challenge: to develop solutions that today simply do not exist. To achieve this result, the fundamental qualities required of students, and also of teachers, will be dedication, commitment, and passion. I am sure that the interaction between a company with a strong propensity for innovation such as Logitech and the University will prove itself, once again, to be profitable and stimulating for all involved”.
