The Summer School “The Italian Economy and Made in Italy”, organized by the International Relations Office at LIUC, successfully took place from 16 to 20 June 2025 on the university campus in Castellanza.
The initiative welcomed 10 students from the University of Greenwich (United Kingdom), who took part in an intensive program of lectures and company visits, aimed at providing an in-depth overview of the Italian economic system and the excellence of Made in Italy.
Throughout the week, students attended a series of lectures delivered by professors and experts on highly relevant and current topics in the Italian and European economic context: Management of Innovation in Italy, AI in Logistics, Family Business Management in the Italian Fashion and Food & Beverage Industries, Generative AI: Myths and Business Implications, Introduction to the Italian Economy in a European Context.
The program also included two company visits to leading Italian industrial players: Perfetti Van Melle, one of the world’s top confectionery manufacturers, and Campari Group, a global icon in the beverage industry. These visits offered valuable insights into successful business models and internationalization strategies.
The Summer School is part of LIUC’s broader commitment to promoting internationalization and enhancing the unique features of the Italian economic landscape, offering foreign students a distinctive educational and cultural experience.
