In general, the research activity focuses on the conditions of existence and lasting functionality of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The topics of analysis concern choices and actions of a strategic nature (sustainability of focus strategies, internal and external growth models, internationalization processes, network strategies) and choices and actions of an institutional and organizational nature, with particular regard to the role and contribution of the entrepreneur and, more generally, to the phenomena of innovative entrepreneurship. Quantitative and clinical research has been and is being conducted on family business issues and, in particular, on the contribution of new entrepreneurial generations to the growth of family businesses. The research activity also focuses on the study of the structural profile and evolutionary dynamics of some industrial sectors characterized by a high degree of fragmentation.
