Biographical Notes
Andrea Venegoni is Associate Professor in Economic Policy at LIUC – Cattaneo University and is director of the Research and Studies for Business division of the LIUC Business School.
He deals with macroeconomics, monetary policy and financial markets supervision, analysis and evaluation of the performance and competitiveness of companies and productive sectors, analysis of the territorial and sectoral scenario, evaluation of territorial attractiveness with particular reference to the inter-territorial flows of businesses and people, economic impact assessment of investments, infrastructures and events, construction using econometric methodologies of socio-economic monitoring indicators for territorial analysis, local development policies and decision supporting tools.
He has participated in numerous training, research and consultancy initiatives with leading public and private sector companies including UBI Banca, World Manufacturing Foundation, SEA Aeroporti Milano, Kone, Eupolis Lombardia, Unioncamere Lombardia, Assimpredil – ANCE, UCIMA.
He has carried out teaching and training activities for Bocconi University, the State University of Milan, for CFMT, for SUPSI of Lugano, for numerous PhD courses and International MBA in Lombardy.
He is the author of numerous research papers published in national and international academic journals and contributions to monographs.
Scientific Areas of Interest
Transmission mechanisms of the Monetary Policy with particular focus on the credit channel; Symmetry of the effects of monetary policies in the Currency Areas; macro-prudential supervision of the financial system; local determinants of firm location; firm migration; territorial attractiveness of high skilled workers and brain drain; determination of the economic impact of infrastructures; applied time series macroeconometrics.
