Biographical Notes

Violetta Giada Cannas is Assistant Professor in Industrial and Mechanical Systems at Carlo Cattaneo University - LIUC. Additionally, she holds a teaching position as a contract lecturer at Politecnico di Milano. She graduated in Management Engineering in 2014 from the Carlo Cattaneo University - LIUC. In 2019, she obtained a Ph.D. in Industrial, Economics and Management Engineering, during which she spent six months abroad at Cardiff University.

Scientific Areas of Interest

Her main areas of expertise include operations management and the application of industrial paradigms such as Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0. Focusing on these topics, she engages in university and executive education, scientific research, as well as applied research within manufacturing companies.

Academic CV

After obtaining her undergraduate degree, from November 2014 to October 2015, she is selected as a research fellow at the Department of Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. This role involved conducting research activities within the European project "INTEGRATE". Following the completion of her Ph.D., she is selected as a research fellow at the Carlo Cattaneo University - LIUC. From April 2019 to March 2020, she works on a project funded by Altea Federation. Then, from July 2020 to December 2021, she is involved in teaching and research activities at the i-FAB LIUC laboratory. Since January 2022, she works as Assistant Professor in Industrial and Mechanical Systems at the same university.
