Graduated from Bocconi University in Milan in 1979.** Since July 2019, Full Professor at LIUC – Carlo Cattaneo University; since 2021, Director of the School of Economics and Management. Adjunct Professor at Bocconi University, the University of Milano-Bicocca, and Université Savoie Mont Blanc. From 2002 to 2019, Full Professor at the University of Valle d’Aosta; from 2016, Director of the Department of Economic and Political Sciences. At SDA Bocconi, Director of the Master of Management in Food & Beverage (MFB) from 2013 to 2016, Director of the Executive Master in Marketing & Sales (EMMS) from 2006 to 2011, and Director of the Master in Marketing & e-Commerce (MiMeC) from 2000 to 2003. My research focuses on three main areas: retail management, brand management, place branding, and destination management. Since 2021, National Secretary of the Italian Marketing Society (SIM), previously a member of the Executive Board. Founding member of the International Place Branding Association, established in London in 2016. Visiting Scholar at Harvard Business School and Arizona State University. Project leader of multi-year consulting projects for Illy, Allianz, Woolwich Bank, Fiera Milano International (where I was also a member of the Strategic Committee), OMET, Eusider, and Edilsider. In the past, board member of Almax, Ambrosoli, Centro Servizi Courmayeur, Esprinet, and San Marco Group.
