Biographical Notes
I am Research Associate in International Law at LIUC University Carlo Cattaneo, where I currently teach, as Aggregate Professor, EU Consumer and Marketing Law and International Contracts at the School of Economics and Management. I previously held various courses at the School of Law of the same University either in Italian (International Law, EU Law, Private International Law) or in English (Global Litigation, EU Law, EU Economic Law and EU Internal Market Law). Earlier I also taught at Bocconi, IULM and Milan Universities.
As an independent lawyer, I mainly provide legal assistance on EU and private international law matters. I am also involved in international disputes before Italian courts.
I am member of the Editorial Board of the "Rivista di diritto internazionale privato e processuale" (Wolters Kluwer), the sole Italian law review specialised in private international law matters; I notably deal with the relevant CJEU case law. I am also a member of the Società Italiana di Diritto Internazionale e di Diritto dell'Unione Europea (SIDI) as well as of the Italian branch of the International Law Association (ILA).
I was awarded a law decree from Milan University, cum laude, in 1999, a LLM in Law and Economics of the European Union from Pantheon-Sorbonne University Paris 1 in 2000 and a PhD in International Economic Law from Bocconi University (Milan) in 2004.
Scientific Areas of Interest
Private International Law (notably, jurisdiction agreements, parallel proceedings, collective redress, contracts and torts). EU Law (notably, consumer protection, competition law, internal market and private enforcement. Consumer Law (notably, contracts and unfair commercial practices).
