Biographical Notes

Emanuele Porazzi graduated in April 2001 in Business Administration with a thesis on "Organisation in Hospitals" and began a collaboration with the Cattaneo University - LIUC investigating healthcare management issues and supporting the organisation of managerial training courses for healthcare professionals. In 2008, he completed his training by acquiring a PhD in "Integrated Company Management" at the Cattaneo - LIUC University, presenting a thesis entitled "Operational issues of management control in healthcare organisations". He continues to collaborate with the Centre for Research in Economics and Management in Health and Social Care on issues of research and training in health management by lecturing in numerous first- and second-level university masters courses, executive masters and training courses for Clinical Department Managers, Health District Managers in collaboration with Polis Lombardia. He directs the University Master in Management and Coordination Functions of the Health Professions, in Management of Hospital Facilities, in Clinical Governance for Internal Medicine, for Clinical Department Managers, in Management of Primary Care Facilities and in Management for the Health Sector, as well as the Executive Master for Coordinators of Community Homes, AFT - RESET. Since 2021 he has been the Director of Healthcare Datascience LAB (HD LAB) at LIUC

Scientific Areas of Interest

Emanuele Porazzi's fields of study are related to the analysis of processes in healthcare and the methodologies useful for their measurement and reengineering (Business Process Reengineering, Business Process Improvement, Lean Management) as well as the methodologies useful for the economic evaluation of healthcare activities (Activity Based Costing) and implementation of services (Break Even Point). He is interested in methodologies for healthcare technology assessment (Health Technology Assessment) and healthcare performance evaluation (Value Based Healthcare). Emanuele is interested in new organisational models of territorial districts and in issues of planning and performance measurement in healthcare.
