Would you like to experience an international atmosphere right here at the university? Do you want to make a real difference in the journey of a student coming from abroad while giving your own profile a competitive edge?
The LIUC Buddy Programme was created for this purpose: to connect our students with international peers who choose our University for their semester or year abroad. The goal is simple yet ambitious: to help them integrate into our community and make them feel at home from day one.
What does being a Buddy mean?
Being a Buddy isn’t just a title; it’s an active and dynamic role. You will have the opportunity to:
- Support the International Relations Office in welcoming exchange students.
- Be a guide: You’ll show newcomers the campus, services, and the “secrets” of the city.
- Facilitate university life: Help them navigate classes, exams, and academic organization.
- Build connections: Help international students socialize with the LIUC community and organize dedicated events throughout the semester.
Why should you do it? (Besides making new friends!)
Participating in the program allows you to discover different cultures, improve your foreign language skills (not only English!), and develop the soft skills that are essential in today’s professional world.
But there’s one more—truly important—reason: WE VALUE YOUR COMMITMENT! ⭐ We know how much time and energy you will dedicate to this project. For this reason, those, who actively participate in the Buddy Programme and meet the conditions shared during registration, may (at the Graduation Committee’s discretion) receive 1 EXTRA POINT on the final graduation grade. It’s a concrete recognition of your contribution in making LIUC an increasingly open and welcoming university.
