Erasmus+ programme

The new Erasmus+ Programme brings together the different EU funding programmes in the fields of education, training, youth and sport.

The Erasmus+ Programme started with the academic year 2021-22 and will run throughout the seven-year period 2021-2027.

One of its key parts, Key Action 1 – Mobility for Learning Purposes, will continue to provide financial support to students who undertake

  • a study period of two to twelve months at a LIUC partner university with full recognition of the examinations taken or
  • a traineeship of at least two months in a European company or organisation, with recognition of their work within the university curriculum.

LIUC was awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) by the European Union in February 2021.

This project enables university students to spend a period of study at a higher institution in one of the countries participating in the programme, offering the opportunity to follow courses, use university facilities and have examinations recognised.

Students will therefore have the opportunity to gain new experience abroad in a different university system and to perfect their knowledge of another language.

Participation

The invitation for applications is open to students enrolled in the second year of the bachelor’s degree courses in Business Administration, in Management Engineering, in the third year of the master’s degree course in Law as well as to all students of the master’s degree courses in Business Administration and in Management Engineering.

Interested students should complete the CALL FOR INTEREST online.

The first selection, which normally takes place in October, provides a choice of all destinations offered for Erasmus+ study periods in the 1st and 2nd semester of the academic year to which the application invitation refers.

In the case of remaining destinations, the International Relations Commission will consider whether to make a second selection exclusively for departures in the second semester of the same academic year.

Information Sessions

During the opening period for applications, you can attend meetings held according to a special calendar to receive information about our various partner universities.

Selections

Language tests

A good knowledge of the language of study used at your destination university is an essential prerequisite for mobility. In order for us to assess your language level, during the application period you will have to take a language test for the language indicated as your preference or present one or more language certifications already obtained and still valid at the time of application (more details in the application documentation).

Supplementary Spanish language courses are also arranged to help you reach the required level.

Recognition of examinations taken in Erasmus

Prior to departure, a study plan with a list of courses that, if successfully passed, will be recognised on your return, according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), is established and approved by the Board of your School of studies.

Mobility Grants

Financial assistance is available for Erasmus students. The amounts are established annually by the National Agency on the basis of criteria set by the European Union.

This project enables university students to pursue an internship of at least two months in a European company or organisation while receiving an EU contribution.

The traineeship may be extended to a maximum of 12 months.

At the end of the placement period, the work done will be recognised in the university curriculum.

Students will thus have the opportunity to gain new work experience abroad and perfect their knowledge of another language.

Participation

If you already have the contact details of a European company or organisation that is willing to host you for an internship, you can contact the International Relations Office from September and complete an application form. The invitation to apply remains open until no more places are available.

Please note that EU institutions, bodies managing EU programmes, diplomatic representations of the student’s home country in the host country are not eligible.

Alternatively, you can contact the Career Service, which will help you in your search for a host company or institution.

Recognition

The internship period abroad may be recognised for curriculum purposes where provided for in the study plan or for the purposes of your dissertation.

The modalities of recognition are left to the individual Schools.

Mobility grant

Financial assistance is available for Erasmus students for each month of mobility.

The amounts are established annually by the National Agency on the basis of criteria set by the European Union.
