Criteria and admission tests for Bachelor of Economics degrees


450 places are available; 90 are reserved for courses taught entirely in English: 60 for the ‘Business Economics’ course and 30 for the ‘Business Analytics for Management’ course.

Access qualifications: High School Diploma

* To undertake the courses entirely in English, you must also hold an international certification (TOEFL IBT with a score of 85/120; IELTS 6 (level B2); FCE (B2, grade B); CAE; CPE; BEC (P/V/H); ISE (minimum Levels II)) or have completed a full school year in English.

** If you hold, or are in the process of obtaining, a foreign qualification, please contact the Orientation Office directly to check the validity of that qualification for registration in Italy.

Admission to the Bachelor of Economics and Management is subject to passing the admission test, compulsory for all students. Those who pass the test before obtaining a school leaving certificate can pre-register, allowing them to take up one of the reserved places on their chosen course.

The test covers the following areas of knowledge: logic, text comprehension, elements of basic mathematics, general culture and current affairs. The test comprises 60 multiple-choice questions and lasts 75 minutes.

The test can be taken by students during their last two years of high school.

  • Tuesday 18 February 2025 – 2.30 pm
    Closing date for test registration, payment of the fee and sending of DSA/disability certification* by Tuesday 11 February 2025.
  • Friday 28 March 2025 – 2.30 pm
    Closing date for test registration, payment of the fee and sending of DSA/disability certification* by Thursday 20 March 2025.

*If you have been diagnosed with a learning disorder or a disability, you must send a copy of your certification to [email protected] so that any compensatory and/or dispensatory tools can be allocated in good time.

How to register for the admission test

Directly online at sol.liuc.it:

  • From the menu at the top right, proceed to register your username and password;
  • Log in with the credentials provided;
  • Access the application procedure via the Secretariat – University Admission Test link in the right-hand menu;
  • Follow the wizard by selecting the chosen date;
  • Proceed to payment of the fee of 100 euros by credit card to confirm your registration. This must be done no later than one week before the test (the fee is non-refundable in the event of non-participation in the test).

The University provides the Economics admission test online.

The admission test is only valid for the School of Economics and Management.

The admission test is aimed at assessing aptitude in the area of logic and text comprehension and knowledge in the area of some elements of basic mathematics and general culture and current affairs.

The test will be administered online in a manner that will be communicated to the students by email, together with the access codes to the platform, in the days following the closing of registration.

Registration for the test and payment of the corresponding fee must be made no later than one week before the test.

Students with learning disorder certification may request the use of compensatory tools: simply indicate this at the time of enrolment and then send your most recent certification by email to [email protected]; the Orientation Department will analyse the documentation provided and assign the necessary tools.

DURATION AND PRACTICE TESTS

The duration of the admission test is 75 minutes.

The test will consist of 60 multiple-choice questions, each with four alternatives, only one of which will be correct. Correct answers are awarded one point and the incorrect answers incur a penalty of one third of a point. Failure to answer does not incur a penalty.
