Biographical Notes
Eliana Alessandra Minelli is Associate Professor at the School of Business Economics. She is married, mother of three children, she devoted herself to academic activity out of passion after an experience in the banking sector. PhD in Sociology at Ghent University (BE). Master’s degree in Economics and Social Disciplines and Master’s degree in International Economics and Management. Awarded the “Donato Menichella” scholarship by the Bank of Italy for her Master’s thesis. Delegate of the Rector for Diversity&Inclusion. Chair of theLIUC Diversity&Inclusion Committee. Academic experience includes both teaching at doctoral and master’s level and participating in international as well as national research projects. At present, she is the international coordinator of the research-action project “Cross-border Skill Mismatching”, funded by the Interreg programme V-A and dealing with the educational systems in the cross-border space between Switzerland and Italy, and the local unit coordinator of the Research Project of National Interest (PRIN) “The effects of evaluation on academic research: knowledge production and methodological issues”. Her articles have been published in many international journals, among which: International migrations, Human Resource Management Review, Higher Education Policy, Quality in Higher Education, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, IJTIS. She is member of the Board of Sviluppo&Organizzazione.
Scientific Areas of Interest
Main fields of interest:
Organisational Change Management in private enterprises, public administrations, universities.
Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources Management.
Diversity and inclusion in companies and in the labor market
Systems of governance, management and evaluation in higher education, analysed in particular with respect to their effects on organisations in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, flexibility and change.
In particular she is interested in studying the impact of transnational cultural models and institutions on organisations, with attention to the HE context. The theoretical underpinnings of her studies hinge mainly on sociological institutionalism, as well as on the theoretical work in scholarly traditions, including organisational behaviour and change management.
Academic CV
Coordinator of the Interreg Project “CROSS-BORDER SKILL (MIS)MATCHING: Aligning labor supply and demand to meet the employment needs of companies in the Insubric cross-border area”, funded by EU. It deals with the issue of misalignment of competencies in the transborder area and the actions to improve collaboration among companies and institutions in the field of education and training.
Coordinator of the local unit of the PRIN project “The effects of evaluation on academic research: knowledge production and methodological issues” funded by the Italian Ministry of Education. It investigates the effects of research evaluation implemented by the government on the academic research work and knowledge production. Leading partner: CNR.
Teaching activity unfolds at the doctoral, master and bachelor levels. Among the teaching courses she is responsible for:
Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management, PhD programme in Management, Finance and Accounting, providing the theoretical bases for developing research in OB & HRM;
Leading and Managing Change, Master in Business Economics, addressing change management from an organizational and HRM perspective;
Research Methods, Master in Business Economics, providing the basic notions of scientific research for business;
Organizing Digital Change, Master in Business Economics, developing an interdisciplinary perspective to understand and manage the organizational change driven by the implementation of digital technologies.
