Freshers’ Day at LIUC

Freshers’ Day at LIUC

Freshers’ Day for students enrolled in bachelor’s and master’s degrees, held on Tuesday 17th, and Wednesday 18th September 2024, will be an opportunity to start getting to know each other and the university environment.

The day after the start of classes LIUC brings its freshmen together for an afternoon of meetings with associations, student groups, and LIUC Sport, who will introduce themselves to the new students.

Tuesday, 17 September – Bachelor’s Degrees

Starting from 14:30,  all students will be divided into teams to participate in the Smart Tour LIUC, an interactive tour of the university. A fun tour with a multilingual app and points to reach the podium in the final ranking. There will be prizes for the top 3 teams.

Wednesday, 18 September – Master’s Degrees

An informal meeting with professors and chairs of the Schools of Economics and Engineering will take place at i-FAB from 17:00. There will be an aperitif, which will also be attended by Alessio Agostinelli, a LIUC graduate with a very interesting work history.  As a partner in EY Strategy, a consulting firm, Agostinelli will undoubtedly be an inspiration for the master’s freshmen.

In the Library

On both days, all freshmen will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition “Studying in beautiful surroundings: Architectural Treasures at LIUC”, a journey through the work of Aldo Rossi, one of the most significant architects and designers in our history, the first Italian to win the Pritzker Prize, the world’s most prestigious award for architecture, in 1990.  He is the architect of the restoration and conversion of the former Cantoni Cotton Mill industrial area, where the university now stands.

Just go to the library to find volunteer guides ready to explain this piece of LIUC’s history.
