Recent years highlighted how supply chain professionals need to improve two critical aspect of supply chain management: sustainability and resilience.
Sustainability has emerged as an important industrial strategic outlook expanding beyond organizational boundaries, and nowadays companies are required to engage in the sustainability cause and integrate sustainability goals in their supply chains to satisfy market needs and follow new policy requirements. At the same time, recent disastrous events, such as the Covid-19 pandemic, have drawn attention to the importance of having supply chains prepared to react to abrupt disruptions thereby highlighting the importance to address increasing vulnerability and uncertainty by improving supply chain resilience.
CILT UK is organizing in collaboration with LIUC University a hybrid free event to showcase and disseminate the high-quality research on the topic developed by Italian academics, to build a bridge between the Italian and UK academia and strengthen the connections between the two professional communities. The event will take place on Friday September 22nd between 10am and 1pm (CET time) and could be attended both in person (at LIUC campus auditorium) and online.
