The interdisciplinary professional and personal skills development (PRO) course aims to develop the skills of
- learning how to learn and how to evaluate personal skills and competencies,
- critical thinking and use of language, numbers and reasoning,
- complex problem solving,
- cultivating relationships through communication and teamwork,
- adapting to change, effectively managing stressful situations.
The School of Engineering pursues the development of these skills through learning-by-doing within curriculum units and ad hoc workshop activities – indoors and outdoors – addressed to a more limited number of students and with open badge issue.
Practical activities, i.e., the application of theoretical concepts and methodologies learned to the solution of a problem or business situation that is real or realistic, are provided. Through these activities, you will have the opportunity to interact with the working group and any business contacts, providing an opportunity to maximise the development of your personal and professional skills.
Among possible activities the PRO interdisciplinary pathway includes: workshops with companies, activities in the i-FAB workshop, simulations, games and individual or group project work involving products/processes/systems, and company visits and interviews with professionals.
