Accounting, Finance & Control

Courses of study

Accounting, Finance & Control

Objectives

To consolidate and develop knowledge, logic and tools for working in the fields of administration (accounting and budgeting), management planning and control, internal control, auditing and business assessment. The course prepares students to analyse problems and make decisions on the basis of information of multiple nature (economic-financial and physical-technical), as required by the complexity of modern business contexts with the need to combine objectives of effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability.

Didactics

The teaching methods of the course allow students to learn theoretical concepts and apply them to real contexts, developing analysis and planning skills. The teaching methods are varied and integrated (lectures, practical exercises, cases, experiential workshops, testimonies of administrative managers, controllers, auditors, management consultants).

Job Profiles

The ideal pathway to careers in the administrative function of industrial, commercial and service companies with roles in fields such as accounting and budgeting, planning and management control and internal control. In addition, it is possible to join management consulting and audit firms, to perform activities related to the design and implementation of administrative and management control systems, auditing and company assessment. The course also allows access to the liberal profession of chartered accountant and auditor.

Access

Classes for the Master’s Degree program are supposed to be taken in-person. However, students are allowed to live stream the lectures (therefore without active participation) on MS Teams.

This is a limited number orientation (maximum 20 students, for highly interactive teaching), focusing on ‘ESG’ (Environmental, Social and Governance) dynamics in the economic-business and legal area.

This is a specific opportunity to address the issues of governance, measurement and reporting of non-financial performance (Accounting and Reporting), given the current context in which climate change, the health crisis, digital development and growing social awareness are increasingly influencing the way in which business is done.

Career assessment

To enrol in the Master of Business Administration and Management degree programme, an assessment of your academic career path is required.
