Fintech orientation

Orientation

This is a limited number orientation course for 25 students in the 2nd year of a Master’s degree programme in either Economics and Engineering.

Focusing on the theme of financial market change in the face of the innovation introduced by digital technologies and its consequent impact on corporate finance, the Fintech Orientation boasts close collaboration with leading Italian banks and players in new fintech.

The aim is to impart the knowledge needed to cope with changes in the corporate finance sector by seizing technological opportunities.

The main results of the research carried out by the Osservatorio Banca Impresa 2030, led by Professor Anna Gervasoni, are reported. In addition, the interaction with the HR departments of banks allows for internships and theses in direct contact with these institutions.

Teaching

In addition to the traditional teaching methods of frontal classroom lectures, cases, off-campus events and a curricular internship are included to put into practice what has been learnt throughout the course. Another innovation is the way in which the lectures are conducted: the professors are joined by CEOs, managers and founders of leading banks and fintechs in the Italian system, offering students direct and unique access.

Career outlets

At the end of the Fintech Orientation, students are offered the opportunity of interviews with the companies involved, in order to obtain a curricular internship in the most innovative firms of the financial sector, ranging from banks to fintech start-ups, from innovation hubs to consultancies.
